She asks her roommate and best friend, Thida, a fortune teller who writes a horoscope column, where her soul mate could be. Thida has visions that tell Kwanjai that her true love could be living right next door. Could it be Joe, the childhood friend who’s a total womanizer, or Mr. Vee, the nerdy new neighbor?
